SAVE THE DATES!
Your Veteran’s Committee hopes you’ve had a wonderful and relaxing summer, and are rip-roaring ready to start the 2018-2019 fencing season!
To help you in your quest to be the best, we’re happy to announce a couple of dates for your fencing pleasure (with more to come later, we’re just finalizing location & timing).
Ottawa Vet/Pre-vet Clinic, September 28
The first event will be Friday, September 28th in Ottawa, from 7:00pm – 9:00pm, just in time for the Governor-General’s competition that weekend. Warm up clinic, all weapons, all levels, coaches, and feedback. Plus your usual good social time with fellow vets.
Venue to be determined (Either the RA Centre or TRYumph gymnasium). RSVP on AskFred to tell us you are comiing.
Toronto Vet/Pre-vet Clinic, September 30
The second event will be Sunday, September 30th in Toronto, from 12 noon to 3:00pm, at TFC (Toronto Fencing Club), for all of you who aren’t able to get to the GG’s. Format for the day will include Swiss-system competition, free bouting, and drills for veterans and pre-veterans. And who better to keep you on your quest for the best than our own Olympian and Vet Committee member Maxime Brinck-Croteau!
We are also pleased to announce our first vet beginner fencing class at the same, so if you have friends who’ve always said, gee that seems like fun, get them to come out and join the crowd. The more the merrier, as we all know. RSVP on AskFred to tell us you are comiing.
Cost for either clinic is $25 if you pre-register via OFA Wufoo system, $40 cash at the door.
We are looking forward to seeing you at our 2018-2019 events! News about additional clinics coming soon.
